As the business environment becomes more dynamic and intricate, the demand for proficient leadership continues to grow. A wealth of research highlights the significance of emotional intelligence in effective leadership. With over 12 years of experience, Anna Barnhill, an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified Executive Coach and Leadership Development Specialist, is dedicated to equipping leaders with the skills to tap into the potential of emotional intelligence and genuine leadership through data-driven coaching methods. Anna’s unique background and personal journey have inspired her to make a difference in the lives of countless leaders and organizations. 

Embracing Authenticity Through Adversity 

Growing up under communism in Ukraine, a society marked by a strong gender divide and rigid societal norms, Anna faced harassment as a bisexual female. Despite the difficulties, she remains grateful for her experiences, as they allowed her to develop into the person she is today. 

In 2013, Anna received a life-changing wake-up call in the form of a cervical cancer diagnosis, epithelial tumors in her stomach, and bilateral patellar tendinopathy. This led to multiple surgeries and a year-long recovery process. During this time of healing and introspection, Anna gained a deeper understanding of her true self, values, and life’s purpose. The adversity she experienced gave her the courage to embrace her authentic self and serve humanity in a way that encourages others to take action toward their dreams. 

This epiphany encouraged her to leave her corporate position and launch Barnhill Group Consulting, a company dedicated to helping clients identify their unique talents, boost their confidence, and embrace authentic living and leadership.

Cultivating Outstanding Leaders 

Barnhill Group Consulting was born from Anna’s passion for continuous improvement and growth, initially offering lean six sigma consulting services to organizations seeking to optimize performance. However, after recognizing the pivotal role that effective leadership plays in successful organizational change, Anna shifted the company focus to executive coaching and leadership development. 

Barnhill Group Consulting provides a range of services tailored to each client’s unique needs, including executive-level coaching, transition coaching for new leaders, and accelerated coaching for high-potential individuals. Their leadership development programs are designed to help executives and managers develop the competencies necessary to inspire their teams, achieve organizational goals, and navigate the complex demands of today’s business environment.

Our attention systems manage the problem of information overload, but our minds wander 50% of our waking hours, often hijacked by stress, threat, and poor mood. Mindfulness practices serve as mental training, similar to physical exercises, offering benefits that grow with consistent practice. 

By being mindful, individuals stay present and engaged, avoiding autopilot mode in their daily tasks. Anna’s clients who practice mindfulness maintain focus on their goals, make better decisions, and reduce stress levels, approaching challenges with a clearer mindset.
