Share Your Story
Every woman has a story worth telling. It might be about a challenge you faced, a lesson you learned, or a moment that changed how you see yourself. Whatever it is, your voice matters. Voice of Industry is a special section of WomLEAD Magazine and our newsletter where women share their stories in their own words. Submitting is free, open to all women, and simple to do.
What You Can Share
A story (300–600 words)
A longer piece where you describe a personal experience.
Example: “When I left my corporate job, I thought I had failed. For weeks I avoided telling friends because I felt ashamed. Then one morning I sat down and wrote a list of what I wanted for my life. That list became the start of my business plan. Looking back, I realize leaving was not the end but the beginning of my real career.”
A personal reflection (100–150 words)
A shorter piece, like a journal entry. It captures a single thought, moment, or lesson.
Example: “Last month I gave my first public talk. My hands were shaking and I thought my voice would crack. But when I finished, one woman came up and said she felt seen in my story. That reminded me that courage is not the absence of fear, it is speaking even when the fear is there.”
A single quote or thought (1–2 sentences)
A simple idea that carries meaning to you.
Example: “I used to think strength meant carrying everything alone. Now I know strength is asking for help when you need it.”
How It Works

Your Voice Matters
You do not need to be a professional writer. You only need to be willing to share something true from your life.
