Lisa empowers her clients through consultative partnerships focused on growth and development.
Career and Academic
Lisa’s venture, The Writing Well, is a culmination of her 20-year experience as a college English instructor and curriculum writer for global ministries. Specializing in curriculum development, instruction, and academic writing and editing, Lisa has nurtured a successful business providing superior writing support and solutions.
With a heart for developing people in their wholeness and faith, Lisa integrates her academic expertise with her spiritual training. She holds a Master’s in English and is a certified Stephen minister and a commissioned Colson Fellow. Her professional journey includes teaching roles at Indiana Wesleyan University and Trinity International University and training missions groups worldwide.

Lisa Ackland Carriere’s career is distinguished by a series of significant milestones, including spearheading a global printing initiative at Awana, where she adeptly managed intricate logistics and realized substantial cost savings. A pivotal moment in her career was the establishment of The Writing Well, where she skillfully merged her academic prowess and ministry experience to cater to a varied client base.
Contributions and Publications
Lisa’s passion for writing is evident in her authorship of seven Bible studies, two leader guides, and co-writing of four others for Awana. Her proficiency extends to editing doctoral dissertations, professional papers, and books for publication. Her first book about women in ministry is slated for publication in the near future.
A print and digital magazine for women focusing on leadership, business, entrepreneurship, career and wellness that made its debut in 2017 has WomELLE Magazine.
