Annie Minogue’s voice doesn’t simply fill a room. It commands it, cutting through the noise of a shifting music industry with raw, unshakable authenticity. As the founder and lead vocalist of the Annie Minogue Band, she has built a career rooted in creativity, collaboration, and conviction.
She has spent decades crafting a sound that blends rock attitude, pop sensibility, and blues undertones, captivating audiences across the country. But for Annie, music is not only about the notes. It is also about staying true to herself, a lesson she learned early in life. Through every high and low, she continues to hold on to one guiding principle: stay real.
A Legacy of Music
For Minogue, music was practically genetic. The daughter of recording artist and producer Terry Cashman (who produced Jim Croce's records and enjoyed success with bands like Cashman, Pistilli and West), Annie grew up in a household where creativity flowed freely.
"It was predestined. There was no choice but to do music. Not in my household anyway," she laughs, recalling how her father provided a "very positive role model" that shaped her future. Her musical talent emerged early at a family party, young Annie performed the entire score of "Oliver," unwilling to stop after just one song despite the adults attempting to continue their gathering.
Today, that same determination drives the Annie Minogue Band, whose powerful sound blends rock attitude with pop sensibility and blues undertones. The lineup features Nick Saya (Drums), Nunzio Signore (Guitar & Vocals), Brian Karp (Bass), and Rob Clores (Keyboards) alongside Annie's commanding vocals.
"I love my band. We've been together a very long time," Annie says with evident pride. "The synergy between us is just amazing. They make me a better musician, better songwriter, better performer, better singer, because I have to rise to their level."
Creating Music with Purpose
The Annie Minogue Band have opened for some of the industry's biggest names over the years, including Blues Traveler, Chris Whitley, The Smithereens, David Lee Roth, Dave Navarro, Black Eyed Peas, Soul Asylum, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Eric Gales Their music has been heard on major television channels like Lifetime, Sony TV, MSNBC, MTV, CBS, CW, and WB, as well as independent films like Out of the Black and popular TV shows like Dawson's Creek and Strong Medicine.
Beyond performing, Annie channels her artistic platform into social causes. With her sister Meredith (of The Violet Mine), Annie co-created and co-produced two concert series that reflect her values and love for community: “Fair Play” and “It’s All Relative.”
Fair Play is a concert series which aided the Bronx Immigration Partnership in 2019 & 2020. The sold-out events at City Winery brought together remarkable talents including Chris Difford from Squeeze, Robben Ford, and Tracy Bonham. The next installment of the series is set for September 2025 and will benefit Her Justice. It’s All Relative brings a different kind of connection to the stage. The family-themed show unites three acts: Country City, The Violet Mine, and Annie Minogue Band, all bonded not just by blood but by a shared passion for storytelling through song. "It's important to share. It's important to make people aware of what's going on in the world, and to give back to the community.”
Looking Forward
With their fourth album "Suburbia" set for release in 2025, the Annie Minogue Band continues evolving while staying true to their core sound. Their recent single "Now," released in anticipation of the 2024 election, serves as what Annie calls "a battle cry" of hope.
"What resonates in that song is very important for what is happening in the world right now," she explains. It is about making change happen and doing something to facilitate that change"
As Annie looks to the future, her goals remain clear: releasing the new album, touring extensively (with hopes to perform internationally), and securing more placements in film and television through sync licensing. "Getting our music out to the masses as much as we possibly can in any medium that we can," she summarizes with characteristic determination.
For an artist whose journey began with a family legacy of music and continues through passion and persistence, Annie Minogue exemplifies what it means to lead with authenticity in an industry often demanding conformity. Her story reminds us that the most powerful voice is the one that remains true to itself—no matter how many times it hears "no" along the way.
