The Talent Tech Outlook 2022 study reveals that more than 82% of employees prefer working from home. There are multiple offices that have adopted hybrid working environments to cut down on costs and meet employee needs. On the other hand, there are businesses that are hiring employees and dealing with clients all over the world. We can say that remote working is here to stay. However, working remotely can pose multiple challenges for the participants involved. It becomes necessary to leverage online technologies and online collaboration tools to make operations seamless. Here are the top online collaboration tools for business that you can trust.

Slack

Slack is a business collaboration tool that needs no introduction. It is a smart platform that allows individuals to send messages and share files in no time. One can even organize the conversation into different channels and send the message to a group of employees. The app supports video calling and is compatible with other third-party apps such as Google Drive, Box, and Dropbox. The free version has certain limitations in terms of the number of messages being stored. The Pro plan is available for $7 and allows you to collaborate with up to 50 people.

Asana

Asana is an online collaboration tool used by multiple companies such as Uber, Pinterest, and Intel. It came into existence in 2008 and has been a pioneer in the world of collaboration tools for businesses. Asana is an effective project management tool that can be used to create to-do lists, set reminders, or assign tasks to the designated team members. The project can be easily organized on a list or a board on the platform. The free version or the basic plan may allow you to add unlimited tasks and projects but allows you to collaborate with 15 people only. The paid plan starts from $10.99 per user per month. The platform can even be integrated with multiple third-party apps. The only limitation is that other platforms have better communication features which may be required for remote work.

Zoom

Zoom is one of the most popular and widely used online collaboration tools for video conferencing. If you work remotely, you will know the importance of communicating with the team. Multiple video conferencing tools are available, but many are unreliable and may lead to unnecessary technical glitches. Zoom is a multi-purpose platform where you will not experience any such issues or glitches. The screen sharing option is available on desktop, mobile, and tablet. The free plan may allow you to add up to 100 attendees within a limited time of 40 minutes. In the paid plan, you may not face any such time limitations and can organize the meeting at your convenience.

Trello

If you are looking for an effective project management and online collaboration tool, Trello is undoubtedly one of the options you may consider. It is available on the web and with mobile apps. The platform may allow you to add or organize projects easily. You can download the app for free but will have to pay to access the premium features. You may even integrate Trello with other third-party apps such as Slack, Google Drive, GitHub, and Evernote. The Enterprise edition may provide additional features and even allow you to add multiple users. It is not an ideal platform for communication or video conferencing. Trello is an easy-to-use project management tool that can be used for monitoring and assigning tasks or collaborative work.

The platform offers four plans which may add convenience to the life of businesses for collaborative work. The platform may provide access to OneDrive, Teams, and online Word, PowerPoint, and Excel versions. The basic plan starts from $5/ month, whereas the premium plan is available for $20/month. Choose the features and applications that you need to make the selection easier. Teams will make it easier for you to easily message, communicate, and collaborate with the remote team.

InVision

Remote working can be challenging for designers as it may not be easy to work on the concepts again and again. InVision is an effective remote collaboration tool for designers, which designers have even designed. The digital whiteboards will allow designers to brainstorm, design digital wireframes, and gather feedback in one place. You can even access the platform on your mobile and communicate with the designers. If you are into graphic designing or web designing services, you may leverage the platform to make remote collaborative work more accessible. The free plan may be limited to one user, whereas the team plan may allow adding one owner and four additional members.

Flock

Flock is one of the online collaboration tools with features like Slack. The platform may allow you to send messages to individuals or to a group of members. You can text, send audio, connect via video call, or screen share. It can also be integrated with third-party apps such as Twitter, Google Drive, and more.
